For the past 10 years, Likii Tender Hearts has been sharing a yearly appreciation/fund raising Kenyan-American dinner with our supporters in Spokane and specifically for the community of St. John Catholic Church in Spokane Valley. These dinners have proven to be a huge success and the last one held on October 21, 2017 was house full.
We would like to make these dinners part of your everyday meal selection for your family, friends, office parties, weddings, birthday parties, and any other special events. We are offering our catering services for the entire menu which include, pilau/biryani rice, samosa, mandazi, baked and steamed vegetables, chicken with sauce, chapati, marble cake with real strawberry fillings, Kenyan tea and coffee, wine, and real fruit juices, or individual dishes, and/or snacks. There will be a small cost for the catering services and all funds raised will go to help meet the needs of our beneficiaries in Likii Village, Kenya.
Kenya has many traditional dishes that we don't usually offer during our dinners, and you are welcome to place orders or just request for a small portion to sample. These dishes include ugali and samaki which is a traditional dish from Western Kenya, Mukimo from Central Kenya, Githeri (corn and beans) from Central Kenya, and a variety of green vegetables that are a delicacy throughout Kenya.
